Abstract | PURPOSE:To supply a driver with an excellent rear view by forming a rear door main body with one transparent plate, and to diminish a running air resistance of a motorcar by smoothing the air flow over the door on its approximately horizontal upper trailing edge. CONSTITUTION:A groove 7 is formed on the periphery of an opening portion and a seal rubber 8 is stuck along the edge of this groove 7, while the rubber seals watertightly a gap between the periphery of the opening portion 2 of a car body F and the base of a rear door main body 5. The rear door main body 5, is formed with one transparent plate such as a glass plate, without requirement of a frame and a seal cover. Further, its approximately horizontal upper trailing edge 5b may provide a smoothing action for an air flow moving from a roof surface 1 along the upper main body 5a of the rear door main body 5, while a motorcar is running. |
