Abstract PURPOSE:An organism oxidization method using a laminate type hearth in which supply and discharge of waste water to be treated is performed repeatedly in an intermittent manner through the respective layers in the hearth in which filter media are laminated in two or more layers in the form of a column, and where waste water to be treated and air are contacted alternately and continuously with each organism film layer on the filter medium surface in the hearth.
