PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuations when a track mode is switched over. SOLUTION: This control method includes a manual mode, in which a position angle is manually ordered to an antenna drive control device 2, for driving an antenna 1, and an automatic mode in which the position angle is automatically ordered to the antenna drive control device 2, based on an angle error detected by a tracking receiver 3 to drive the antenna 1 in a direction, whereby the angle error is reduced. When conditions enabling automatic tracking is satisfied, the manual mode is automatically transferred to the automatic mode. Moreover, when the conditions enabling automatic tracking lacks, the automatic mode is changed to the manual mode. While confirming the condition enabling automatic tracking is confirmed, it is confirmed whether the transfer from the manual mode to the automatic mode is carried out by a predetermined number of times from a predetermined earlier time to the present time and a warning is generated, if the change is conducted by the predetermined number of times, whereby the manual mode is maintained.
