PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnostic system for a mobile communication terminal capable of reporting the position and contents of a fault to a user by a diagnostic test from a distant place. SOLUTION: The fault diagnostic test of a mobile communication terminal 4a can be requested not only from that mobile communication terminal 4a but also from another mobile communication terminal 4b or fixed telephone 5 and in that case, either an automatic diagnostic controller 1b or a fault diagnostic test console 1c can be selected. The automatic diagnostic controller 1b automatically executes the test as requested by a client and automatically reports the contents of the fault. Besides, when the fault diagnostic test console 1c is selected, that operator executes the suitable test after the confirmation of the fault conditions and phenomenon from the client and reports the position and contents of the fault to the client by judging the result. A fault diagnostic system controller 1a connects that mobile communication terminal 4a with the automatic diagnostic controller 1b or fault diagnostic test console 1c through an exchange 2 and radio transmission/reception equipment 3 and while utilizing an interface for test, the test instructed from the console 1c or the like is controlled.
