Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolating method which makes a machined surface smoother. SOLUTION: Track interpolation is performed by the automatic machine which performs working by approximating fine linear blocks to curved surfaces. In this case, curved interpolation is performed when the angle θ between the directional vector of the fine liner block and the tangential vector at the start point of the fine linear block on the curved line is less than a specific value and linear interpolation is performed when the angle θ is larger than the specific value.
