Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of products by surely suppressing the generation of scale defects of a rolled stock in a device for suppressing the generation of scale defects at the time of hot finish rolling. SOLUTION: A group 10 of finishing mills is composed by arranging plural finishing mills 11-14 for executing the finish rolling of the rolled stock S in tandem and 1st, 2nd and 3rd surface cooling devices 41, 42 and 43 for cooling the upper and lower surfaces of the rolled stock S are respectively provided on the inlet sides of the 1st to 3rd finishing mills 11-13 of this group 10 of the finishing mills. The cooling range of the rolled stock S with respective surface cooling devices 41, 42 and 43 is defined as the range of 0.3-1.5 m in the upstream direction from a position where is separated by <=1.5 m to the inlet side from the centers C of the work rolls 21, 22 and 23 of respective finishing mills 11-13. |
