Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food dough conveying method using a press-sandwiching device pressing food dough on a transfer conveyer under a specific condition allowing to effectively form scarf skin without giving any damage on the inner tissue of the dough, and a dough conveying device therefor. SOLUTION: This device conveys food dough 10 such as bread dough by a transfer conveyer 20 in one direction, while the dough 10 on the transfer conveyer 20 is sandwichingly pressed in the horizontal direction by a press- sandwiching device 3 and set to rotate around approximately vertical center of axis, and the dough 10 is repeatedly pressed for a part of its lower part to move the lower part to the center from the direction nearly crossing to the conveying direction of the dough 10. The dough 10 is preferably pressed on a slope set to guide the lower part of the dough 10 to the center side when the dough 10 is pressed at the lower side.
