PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a television set that is installed in a bathroom function as an information terminal which utilizes an internet line. SOLUTION: A bathroom television 1 and an external server 9 perform intercommunication through an internet line 4. A sending and receiving part 14 of the bathroom television is connected to a bath appliance 5. Service information from the server 9 side is notified to a notifying means 15 via a transmission/receiving part 11. A user of the appliance 5 inputs information from an external inputting means 7, sends it to the server 9 side, and notifies a result of intercommunication to the means 15. He downloads the latest program stored in the server 9 according to a download command of the means 7 and stores it in memory 12. An appliance controlling part 13 operates and controls the appliance 5 by using the updated version program that has been downloaded. When the server 9 side takes in information on the side of the appliance 5 and determines abnormality, the means 15 rings an alarm and sends a helping staff.
