Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic bottle having high rigidity and excellent shape retention even when a plurality of vertical recessed panels for preventing deformation are formed, whose surface can be labelled. SOLUTION: Side faces of a bottle 1 are formed out of four side faces 2 and corner faces 3. In each side face 2, a vertical recessed panel 4 having a length ranging from near the upper part to near the lower part of the side face is formed. Ranging from the central part of each panel 4 to the central part of the adjacent panel 4, a recessed groove 6 having a proper width continued by a groove bottom face 6a having the same height as that of a panel bottom face 4a is formed. At the central part in each panel 4, a band-like protrusion 7 (a top face 7b is flat) having the same height as that of the part immediately above the recessed groove 6 i.e., the bottom end part of the upper side face 2 separated by the recessed groove 6 is formed so as to be in the same position as the bottom end part of the side face in the peripheral direction.
