Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable displaying at high luminance and high accuracy by forming a microchannel, which passes through between a microhole and a fluorescent film layer. SOLUTION: When the drive voltage is applied to an emitter electrode 6, a gate electrode 9 and an anode electrode, primary electron E1 is emitted from cathode tips 7 and emitted into each microchannel 15 through a microhole 10 of the electrode 9. The electron E1 collides with a secondary electron multiplying film 13 of an inner wall of an inclined micro channel 15a, so as to emit a large quantity of secondary electrons E2 . The electrons E2 are accelerated in a vertical microchannel 15b and achieves a fluorescent film layer 13, and makes the predetermined phosphors to develop color. With this structure, display at a high luminance based on the display drive signal is performed in a display surface 5a. Since each channel 15, which is interposed between an emitter array panel 2 and an anode panel 4, corresponds to each pixel, each pixel is accurately isolated from each other. |
