Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide plugging sand of a sliding opening/closing device in a ladle which can obtain high natural hole opening ratio. SOLUTION: The plugging sand of the device is substantially composed of 70-90wt% chromite sand and 10-30wt.% silica sand, and the chromite sand is contained at >=95% to the range of 150-850μm grain diameter and >=60% to the range of 200-425μm grain diameter, and the silica sand is contained at >=95% to the range of 200-850μm grain diameter and >=60% to the range of 300-600μm grain diameter. |
