Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion mixed with the phospholipid of a pearl oyster after culturing a pearl and to prevent environmental pollution. SOLUTION: Since the photolipid of a pearl oyster has a surface activating property, the phospholipid is extracted and applied to the oil soln., chemicals, cosmetics, etc. For example, 6 1 of chloroform and 40 l of methanol are added to 12kg of the flesh of the pearl oyster, the mixture is homogenized, allowed to stand and then filtered, then 20 l of chloroform, 15 l of water and 10 l of ethanol are added to the filtrate, and the admixture is agitated and then let stand. Only the lower layer is drawn off and vacuum-concentrated. The concentrate is dissolved in 500 ml of chloroform and adsorbed on a silica gel column (10×50cm). Chloroform and acetone are passed through the column, then the lipid is eluted with 5 l of methanol, and the fraction is vacuum-concentrated to obtain 38.3g of lipid. The lipid is added to component A consisting of squalene, etc., and component B consisting essentially of water, and the mixture is emulsified and applied to the products. |
