Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an internal combustion engine in which storability of the internal combustion engine at low temperature can be improved, and in which warm-up operation time can be shortened in a simple constitution without adding a new control device. SOLUTION: In this cooling device, by a thermostat 3 contained in a thermostat containing part 4, a first valve element 31 closes a first entrance 41 of the thermostat containing part 4 to introduce cooling water from an engine through a radiator bypass passage 15 to a second entrance 42 of the thermostat containing part 4 when temperature is a first reference temperature or less, and a second valve element 32 disconnects the second entrance 42 when temperature is a second reference temperature or more. In this case, a water pump bypass passage 16 to communicate a third entrance 43 positioned close to the second entrance 42 of the thermostat containing part 4 with the discharge side of a water pump is provided, and a third valve element 33 is provided to disconnect the third entrance 43 when temperature is a third reference temperature that is lower than the second reference temperature or more. |
