Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflecting member which is suitably used for a reflection type liquid crystal display device and chromatic and has a diffuse reflection factor, superior designability, and a wide field angle. SOLUTION: This reflecting member for reflection type liquid crystal is constituted by sticking a high polymer film (color film) 30 which transmits visible light of specific wavelength and has a <=50 nm retardation value and a reflecting body 40 which has a metal thin-film layer provided as a reflecting layer on one side of an unevenness-processed base material across an adhesive (or sticking agent) 20. Thus, the reflecting member is obtained which has absorption and diffuse reflection to the visible light range. Consequently, the reflecting member is usable as a reflection body of a reflection type liquid crystal display device and superior in designability and can obtain a wide field angle.
