Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying gas which does not use combustion or thermochemical decomposition technology and require combustible gas of a very high flow rate and a very high actuation temperature and a purification apparatus for implementing the method. SOLUTION: In order to dissociate impurities in gas for forming a reactive compound by passing the gas through a hollow dielectric tube 16, an electric field is generated in the gas by advancing electromagnetic waves which are appropriate to generate atmospheric plasma 18 which advances in the tube 11 and is not in local thermodynamic equilibrium, and in order to remove the formed reactive compound from gas to be purified, the compound is reacted with corresponding reactive elements 22, 24. |
