Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct a thermal transfer printing of a luminous mate rial on a solid product by printing the luminous mateal on the base material coated by a release agent or the base material having a release effect and using the winding member, which is coated by a heat seal agent on the luminous material. SOLUTION: On the bas material 1, which is coated by the material having a release effect of a release agent 2, characters and graphics are printed by color ink 3 and the layer made of a luminous material 5 is thickly formed by a gravure printing or a silk screen printing. Then, a heat seal agent 6 is applied to produce a thermal transfer printing winding member 7. It is desirable to form an optical reflecting layer before coating the member 7 with the agent 6 so as to improve the light emitting luminosity and the light storing time. In the production line of a solid product such as a video tape cassette, the luminous material is printed using the member 7 without deteriorating the total production efficiency by preparing a simple heat transfer device.
