Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum automatic design flow generation system for user by selecting an optimum CAD program and determining the execution procedure. SOLUTION: This system has an arithmetic processing part 3 equipped with a display part 1, an input means 2, a question display and answer storage means 31, a use icon determining means 32, an icon connection relation determining means 33, and an icon arrangement wiring coordinate value determining means 34 and a storage part 4 equipped with a question select data storage part 41, an answer storage part 42, an icon selecting rule storage part 43, a select icon storage part 44, an icon input/output condition definition data storage part 45, an icon connection information storage part 46, a coordinate information storage part 47, and a design flow definition data storage part 48; and a question is set to a user through the display part 1, an optimum icon is selected according to an answer inputted from the input means 2 by using the icon selection rule, and the execution order of optimum icons is determined by using icon input/output condition definition data.
