Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating device, by which the excavation, crushing or drilling works of soil and sand, rocks, boulders, etc., can be conducted automatically and efficiently by one excavator even in a caisson having a large area and in which the excavator can be maintained easily. SOLUTION: In an excavating device in a caisson, a boom 11 for an excavator 6 is composed of a fixed boom 12 installed to a revolving superstructure 9 in a freely derricking manner and a sliding boom 13 slidably loaded on the fixed boom 12. A sliding boom 13 is connected to a sliding operating means 16, a first guide rail 17 is mounted on the upper section of the fixed boom 12, and a second guide rail 18 is set up to the lower section of the sliding boom 13 A first guide means 19, to which guide rollers brought into contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the second guide rail 18 are fitted, is installed to a roller bracket in the fixed boom 12, and a second guide means 20, on which guide rollers brought into contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the first guide rail 17 are mounted, is attached onto a roller bracket in the sliding boom 13.
