Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a power source efficiency and to execute power conservation of an electric equipment such as an air conditioner by providing a first power source for generating power by separately exciting, a drive controller driven by the first source, and a second power source controlled in operation by the controller to generate power by self-exciting. SOLUTION: An inverter type air conditioner needs always conducting in an outdoor controller 102, needs a large electric load in the case of driving a compressor 312, and supplies power to a compressor driving unit 313 by using a large-scale self-excited power source 105. In this case, a separately-excited power source 104 is provided separately from the source 105, and power can be always supplied to the controller 102 by the source 104. An expansion valve 103 is previously driven by the source 104 by the controller 102, the valve 103 is previously set to an initializing state before heating or cooling is turned 'ON', and after the operation, a cycle operation can be rapidly started.
