PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ornamental device capable of being used for appreciations by inserting stems and leaves of a flower arrangement or artificial flowers. SOLUTION: In this ornamental device, one or more of holes 3 for inserting ornamental pieces such as stems and leaves of a flower arrangement or artificial flowers are made in upward or obliquely upward direction on the outer surrounding surface of a base material 1 consisting of a ceramic, a synthetic resin, etc. The base material 1 is made of a porous ceramic having water absorbability.
