PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine capable of prolonging durability of hair color tone. SOLUTION: Organic or inorganic tannin is contained in a hair treating agent for prolonging durability of hair color tone. Condensed tannin derived from catechin or hydrolyzable tannin derived from gallic acid is usable as natural tannin and a synthetic aldehyde condensed product dissolvable by sulfonation and derived from an aromatic compound from the kinds of phenols, cresols, naphthols or naphthalenes, or a urea or melamine-condensed product is usable as synthetic tannin. As the inorganic tannin, soluble chrome (III)-, aluminum-, zirconium- or iron-salt or polyphosphate is usable. Preferably, content of the tannin in the hair treating agent is 0.01-5.00wt.%.
