Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogenation method for producing a lubricant base oil having no toxicity, capable of improving oxidation stability, low temperature startability and fuel consumption and suitable for engine, etc., by allowing a raffinate raw material to pass a hydrogenation zone to treat at a specific condition. SOLUTION: The objective lubricant base oil having >=90% saturated material content and >=105 viscosity coefficient is produced by allowing a raffinate raw material having 85-105 viscosity coefficient, <=650 deg.C final boiling point and containing a dewaxed oil to pass through the first hydrogenation zone to provide the first hydrogenation raffinate, allowing the first hydrogenation raffinate to pass through the second hydrogenation zone to provide the second hydrogenation raffinate, allowing the second hydrogenated raffinate to pass through the hydrogenation finishing reaction zone to provide a hydrogenation finished raffinate, allowing the obtained and hydrogen finished raffinate to pass through a separating zone to remove a product having <=250 deg.C boiling point from the raffinate, and further allowing the removed raffinate to pass through a dewaxing zone to provide the objective lubricant base oil having >=90wt.% saturated material content and >=105 viscosity coefficient in the hydrogenation method for producing a lubricant base oil.
