TRAVELLING METHOD FOR SLAG REMOVING CARRIAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently travel a slag removing carriage between a waiting position and the position of an immersion tube of a ladle refining apparatus performing the slag removing treatment while transferring over tracks. SOLUTION: The slag removing carriage track through which the slag removing carriage travels from the waiting position side and a ladle carriage track in which the ladle carriage travels to the position of the immersion tube, are intersected. A photoswitch 1 having a flood lamp body 3 and a light receiving body 4 is arranged at either one side of the slag removing carriage or the ground side at the stopping position of the intersection point of both tracks. On the other side, a light shielding body 6 having a slit 5 is arranged and the slit 5 is arranged corresponding to allowable stopping zone. The slag removing carriage is precisely stopped at the stopping position by using this photoswitch 1 to change the track to the other track. The slag removing carriage can automatically transfer over the tracks and can automatically travele between the waiting position and the position of the immersion tube.
