PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce application labor necessary at a time an ACC control unit is conformed with a characteristic at every maker and/or automobile. SOLUTION: This indicating device consists of an ACC control unit 301 for controlling car speed and/or acceleration, and an indication control unit 305 to control an indicating device capable of indicating at least one instantaneous travel speed vFA and a selected desired speed vsetA. At the time of making both these control units conformable with each other, in order to reduce application labor being carried out in consideration of the so-called speedometer lead existing, this ACC control unit comprises a memory 306 and a block 307 to determine the desired speeds and actual travel speeds vs+, vs-, va+, va-being next higher and next lower delectable. These selectable desired speeds and actual travel speeds are transmitted to the ACC control unit.
