Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably realize the display of a wide visual field angle of a liquid crystal display device having a structure to seal liquid crystals into the holes surrounded by resin by forming resin layers (i.e., the resin layers which coat electrodes) constituting at least the front and rear surfaces of the holes so that their surfaces have good horizontal orientation characteristics. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has oriented films 30, 31 which are disposed on a pair of substrates 10, 11 arranged facing each other, the plural holes which penetrate the resin layers 40 held by a pair of the substrates 10, 11 and liquid crystals 50 which are packed into the holes. The oriented films 30, 31 are horizontally oriented film which horizontally orient liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystals 50 are in contact with the horizontally oriented films and the wall surfaces 41W of the holes.
