Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify set-up work for a fluctuation in a gilt edge size of a booklet. SOLUTION: A gilt edge regulating device is provided with a top-bottom edge stopper 31, a regulating handle 11 moving a gilt edge stopper 32 forward/ backward, and an interlocking mechanism 20 which interlocks with the regulating handle 11 so as to regulate a driving phase for a chain conveyor 52. When the top-bottom edge stopper 31 and the gilt edge stopper 32 are moved forward/ backward via a fixed frame 13 by means of the regulating handle 11, a driving shaft 55 in the chain conveyor 52 is rotated by means of the interlocking mechanism 20 via a rack 21, a gear 22, an auxiliary gear 22e, an idle gear 23, a gear 24, and a regulation clutch 55a, and then, claws 52d, 52d in the chain conveyor 52 are moved forward/backward.
