Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation or maintenance and to conserve labor in the treatment of the washing waste water of a fuel tank. SOLUTION: A washing waste water treatment apparatus has a cascade type small-sized square tank 1 with a vol. of about 20m , a filter 2 constituted of a double changeover type primary filter 2a of about 300 mesh and a vol. filter type secondary filter 2b of about 1μm mesh, a membrane separator equipped with a compressor part and a porous membrane part and an adsorbing separator 4 equipped with an activated carbon adsorbing bed. By removing sludge by the filter, a membrane type oil-water separator can be used and the separability of oil and water is enhanced. As a result, a water tank fitted with an adsorbing mat provided heretofore or a precoat filter becomes unnecessary and the treatment apparatus becomes simple and operation also becomes easy.
