Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain real optimum buffer length even in environment wherein environmental changes in program run state, etc., are always made at multiprocessing time, etc. SOLUTION: This is a system which dynamically optimizes the buffer lengths of two doubled buffers 5a and 5b used to input and output data to and from an auxiliary storage device 2, and has at least a time Tr calculation part 7a which calculates the time Tr required for data transfer between the auxiliary storage device 2 and one buffer 5a, a time Tp calculation part 7b which calculates the time Tp required to read and write data out of and to the other buffer 5b during the data transfer, and a buffer length increase/decrease part 7c which increases or decreases the buffer lengths of the buffers 5a and 5b according to the ratio (Tr/Tp) of the time Tr and time Tp and optimizes the buffer lengths of the buffers 5a and 5b each time data transfer and the reading and writing of data are performed. |
