Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can synthesize color information in the state of compressed information against image information performed through information compression by orthogonal transformation. SOLUTION: A sentence structure analysis circuit 2 reads out in order MPEG1 data from a buffer circuit 1 by outputting a readout request signal 'OREQ', and a position signal 'BKM' is to a color output control circuit 3, a picture type indication signal 'PCT' is to a color character information output circuit 4, respectively output. A color change control circuit 5 detects a color change beginning signal, counts headers from the sentence structure analysis circuit 2 by an inner counter and the like, and outputs a color synthesis ratio signal 'CRATE' to the color information output circuit 4 based on them, and the MPEG1 data synthesizing color on the optional position is output from a switch circuit 6.
