Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit a corner cap to a corner of a corrugated fiberboard box with one-touch control for reinforcement by using a plastic molded piece which is flat viewed in a plan with overhang regions which can be folded and engaged provided at both wings of a center region forming a multi-stage hinge structure. SOLUTION: A corner cap comprises a thin plastic molded piece which is flat viewed in a developed state. A left wing region 2L having an engaging member 4a and a left overhang region 3L having an engaging member 4b on its upper side is connected to a left side of a center region 1 of a multi-stage hinge structure with a plurality of grooves (g) formed in a longitudinal direction, while a right wing region and a right overhang region similarly having the engaging members 4a, 4b are respectively connected to a right side via grooves (g') so that they can be folded and engaged. When a corner cap is to be used, the left and right overhang regions 3L, 3R are folded along the grooves (g') while the center region 1 is curved at the grooves 9, and after the corner caps are put over four corners of a corrugated fiberboard box, the engaging members 4a, 4b are used for engaging them.
