Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of nose print sampling by detecting the state of displacement from a screen by the coordinate detection, etc., of the end points of a nearly trapezoidal nose print image picked up by a depression image pickup part, and performing correction processing. SOLUTION: A noise print depression image is picked up by a depression image pickup part 3 to input the picked-up nose print depression image to an image input part 4, and an end point coordinate detection part 5 detects the coordinates of the end points of the nose print image. The picked-up nose print image is nearly trapezoidal and the coordinates of the end points (a)-(d) of this trapezoid are detected. Then the coordinates of an intermediate point between the end points (a) and (b) and the coordinates of an intermediate point between the end points (c) and (d) are calculated and the coordinates of the center point of the nose print image is calculated from the coordinates of the intermediate points. On the basis of the coordinates of the center point and the coordinates of the intermediate points, the rotational direction of the nose print image is decided to find a conversion expression for the rotation and movement of this nose print image. Then the nose print image is converted by the conversion expression to correct the deviation and tilt from the center of the screen, and the corrected nose print image is stored. |
