Abstract | PURPOSE:To provide a thermal type flow meter which is hardly affected by unevenness and disorder of the flow in the upper stream side of a sensor part and can be made compact and easy to be installed. CONSTITUTION:A center member 11 of a unit 10 is inserted into a main route 2 from a unit installation hole 4 of a cylindrical body 3 having the main route 2 and a unit 10 is installed in the cylindrical body 3. The unit 10 is composed of the center member 11 positioned in the center part of the main route 2 and having a bypass route 16 in the inside, a flow rate detecting part 8 installed in the bypass route 16, a rib 12 to support the center member 11, an installation part 14 to fix the rib 12 in the cylindrical body 3, a circuit part 13 installed in the rib 12, and a connector part to hold a terminal connected electrically with the circuit part 13. Positioning, installing, and fixing of the flow rate detecting part 8 can be done simultaneously only by a simple work of inserting the unit 10 into the main route 2 through the hole 4 to assemble the unit. Disorder and unevenness of air in the upper stream side of the flow rate detecting part 8 is lessened and the flow rate of a fluid can be measured in good order of the flow. |
