PURPOSE: To facilitate the printing of the image on a desired display screen by generating screen kind data discriminating a plurality of display screens from a screen kind data generation means and selecting the display to be printed from a plurality of the display to extract the corresponding display data from a memory means to perform printing. CONSTITUTION: A display device 2 having a plurality of display screen for display 'eye, mouth, nose' and overlapping those display screen to display a portrait image is provided. When the portrait image is formed, screen kind data are applied to display data at every one scanning line in a video display processor(VDP) 14 to be successively written in an RGB buffer part. Next, these data are successively read at every horizontal retrace line period of the display device 2 to be transmitted to a printing buffer to be accumulated by the quantity corresponding to one screen and the display data of the display screen elected corresponding to the operation of a screen selection switch among the display data corresponding to one screen stored in the printing buffer is extracted to be subjected to printing.
