Summary: | PURPOSE: To increase the volume cooling air which passes an air-cooling oil cooler and to minimize the volume cooling air passing through a cooing fin by providing a bypass wind tunnel for guiding cool air after passing through an air-cooled oil cooler from the other side of a bearing to a rotor or a stator. CONSTITUTION: The lower edge part of a generator shaft 10 is supported at a lower bracket 13 so that it can freely rotate and a cooling fin 14 is formed at the outer periphery of a lower guide bearing oil bath 6. Therefore, by rotating a cooling fan 3 along with a rotor 5, cooling air is guided from outdoors to the inside of a power station as shown by an arrow for cooling a stator 4 and a rotor 5 and is delivered outdoors through an exhaust wind tunnel 7. One portion of the cooling air which passed through an air cooled oil cooler 2 and cooled a thrust bearing oil bath 1, passes from upper to lower part in a bypass wind guide 8, passes near the cooling fin 14, and is guided to the stator 4 and the rotor 5. However, the cooling air passing through the bypass wind tunnel 8 is not guided to the lower guide bearing oil bath 6 and should be the minimum air volume required for passing the cooling fin 14 as conventionally. |
