Abstract | PURPOSE: To shorten time for translation, to reduce translation errors and to improve operability by executing translation processing by generating a new- translation processing unit by dividing or connecting translation processing units corresponding to the instruction of an operator. CONSTITUTION: When it is difficult to perform translation since one translation processing unit of an input sentence inputted to an input buffer 1 and displayed on a CRT display screen while shifting a line for each translation processing unit is long, a position designating means 3 designates the position to decompose one translation processing unit into plural translation processing units or when the line shift position of the translation processing unit is not clear, the position designating means designates the position to made invalid one translation processing unit line-shifted by the device and to connect plural translation processing units into one translation processing unit. A division/connection processing part 4 retrieves the input sentence inside the input buffer 1, detects the presence/absence of this designated position in the input sentence and performs dividing/connecting processing to the input sentence in the input buffer based on a command from a division/connection designating means 5. |
