Abstract | PURPOSE: To increase the C/N of a regenerative signal. CONSTITUTION: Information recorded on a magneto-optical recording medium 1 is reproduced by projecting a light beam 4 to the magneto-optical recording medium 1 and detecting a Kerr rotation angle of its reflected light 5. The recording surface of the magneto-optical recording medium 1 is formed over plural surfaces 2a and 2b, and the light beam 4 is made incident upon at least one surface out of the plural surfaces 2a and 2b, and its incident angle is not perpendicular but such an angle that the other surface out of the plural recording surfaces 2a and 2b should be irradiated with the reflected light 5 of the incident light beam 4. |
