PURPOSE: To efficiently store dried cereals and keep high-quality cereals over a long period by feeding an inert gas produced from air through a gas separation membrane apparatus under specific conditions into a stored body in which dried cereals are stored. CONSTITUTION: This method for storing dried cereals comprises feeding an inert gas produced from air through a gas separation membrane apparatus 13 into a stored body 1 in which dried cereals A such as rice and wheat is stored, carrying out pressurization within the range of 0-3kg/cm by an inert gas and evacuation within the range of 600-760Torr atmospheric pressure by a vacuum pump 7, respectively and keeping dried cereals A in the stored body 1 in inert gas atmosphere. Furthermore, a pressure controlling step comprising the pressurization and evacuation is preferably repeated plural times.
