Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject homogeneous and highly active multiple oxide by homogeneously mixing a lanthanum alkoxyalcoholate and specific metal alkoxyalcoholate(s) with an organic solvent followed by heating and baking. CONSTITUTION:This lanthanum-based perovskite-type multiple oxide of formula IV (0<(x)<=1) is obtained, without generating any offensive odor, by heating and baking a mixed solution, a mixture of (A) a lanthanum alkoxyalcoholate of formula I [IR is H or a lower alkyl; R is a lower alkyl; (a) is 1-3], (B) at least one kind of metal alkoxyalcoholate of formula II (B is Mg, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu or Zn), (C) an organic solvent, and, optionally, (D) another metal alkoxyalcoholate of formula III [A is Sc, Y, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Ca, Sr or Ba; (s) is 2-3]}. |
