PURPOSE:To enable detection of traveling positions between rows by a simple and inexpensive constitution, by dispensing with a calculating circuit and making signal lines into one line. CONSTITUTION:A case of a main body is protrusively equipped with detecting levers at the right and the left in such a way that the lever is brought into contact with a rice plant stock and rotated when a device for detecting traveling positions between rows runs between rows and is shifted to either side. The rotation of the detecting lever is discovered as change in a resistance value by variable resistors 19 and 20 attached to a revolving shaft. The variable resistors 19 and 20 are connected in series and linked between DC electric source terminals. An electric voltage signal corresponding to the angle of revolution in the right and left directions can be obtained by the detected voltage obtained at an output terminal P as a common connected point.
