Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a U-tube type ozone reaction tank enhancing the absorbing efficiency of ozone gas with respect to water to be treated without being accompanied by scaling-up and reduced in cost. CONSTITUTION:A pressure pump 16 raising the pressure of water to be treated and a water pressure meter 17 are arranged to the inflow pipe 15 of the water to be treated flowing in a U-tube type ozone reaction tank and a throttle valve 11 adjustable in its opening degree and a water pressure meter 13 are arranged in the vicinity of the underside part of an inner pipe 6 and the opening degree of the throttle valve 13 is appropriately controlled on the basis of the pressure of the water to be treated and the water pressure of the inner pipe 6 by a control part 18. The water pressure in the inner pipe 6 is adjusted to a predetermined range on the basis of the output signal of the control part 18. The water pressure in the inner pipe 6 is set to 2.0-2.5 (kgf/cm ).
