PURPOSE:To prevent the development of a large cut waste by forming a hole as cast as a communicating hole faced so that a projecting part projectingly formed in a part of the tip part of this hole as cast obstructs a tip partition wall part and cutting the partition wall with a drill. CONSTITUTION:The drill 7 is advanced so as to widen the inner wall of the hole 6 as cast of a cylinder block 1 by cutting. Further, the communicating hole 8 communicated with a water jacket 4 as a hollow part is formed by cutting the partition wall 4a with the drill 7. In this case, as the contact of the drill 7 with the partition wall 4a to be cut is limited to the part except the projecting part 6a in the hole 6 as cast, the development of such a large size waste as not to remove even by washing, etc., after machining, e.g. an umbrella shaped cut waste, etc., is prevented. Thus, the method for casting the hole as cast of the cast parts, by which the excessive process such as the removal of the cut waste in each time is unnecessary, is obtd.
