PURPOSE:To take a sure action and to prevent unwanted power consumption after the closed state of the opening/closing window of a film cartridge is detected. CONSTITUTION:A film entrance 4 is formed in a cartridge chamber 2 as the main body part of the cartridge 1. Film entrance shielding members 8 turned by a prescribed angle, for instance 90' to open/close the film entrance 4 are freely turnably fitted on the top and bottom parts of the film entrance 4. On the end part 8a of the shielding member 8, a connecting part 9 connected to the film entrance opening/closing mechanism of a camera side, a projecting part 10 for prescribing the stopping position of the shielding member 8 with respect to the film entrance and recessed parts 2a and 2b corresponding to the projecting part 10 are provided.
