Summary:PURPOSE:To surely get the instruction of the switching of a busy channel to a mobile station by increasing the transmission power of a base station when a channel switching instruction signal to the radio channel of an adjacent base station is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A mobile station 11 has a transmission/reception part 111 for communicating with each base station 21 to 24 and a reception electric field intensity measuring part 112 for measuring the reception electric field intensity of the radio waves originated by each base station 21 to 24. When the base station 21 receiving a channel switching instruction from a radio control station 31 transmits the channel switching instruction signal to the mobile station 11 under the control, a transmission power control part 212 temporarily increases the transmission power of a transmission/reception part 211 and transmits the channel switching instruction to the mobile station 11 by constant transmission power which is larger than the transmission power to be used for the normal communication with the mobile station 11. Therefore, the transmission power of the base station 21 is increased to the value corresponding to that the coverage area of the base station 21 is as if it were magnified. In accordance with this, the electric field intensity in the mobile station 11 is increased.
