Summary:PURPOSE:To differentiate and induce an adventitious embryo at a high density and frequency by fractionating a low-molecular substance and a high-molecular substance to be released into a culture medium for inducing the differentiation of the adventitious embryo from a cell mass of a plant and returning the high- molecular substance into the culture medium. CONSTITUTION:When a cell mass suspended in a culture medium 2 is advanced from a spherical type embryo to the vicinity of a heart type embryo, a part of the culture medium is taken out from a taking outlet 3 with a feed pump 4. A nylon mesh net 8 is provided on the outside of the taking outlet to prevent the cell mass or the adventitious embryo from contaminating the culture medium. The resultant culture medium is then passed through a dialytic membrane 6 to remove a low-molecular substance having 12000-14000 molecular weight. The obtained culture medium is subsequently returned to a culture container 1.
