Abstract | PURPOSE:To use a coating device for both new and regenerated sings by a method in which an existing rib is detected by a rib-detecting mechanism to regenerate a sign, and for new sign, the detected rib is locked for construction. CONSTITUTION:When a coating material tank 1 is advanced, a rib sensor plate 2 comes into contact with an existing rib 8 and turns upwards, and by a lever or link moving connectedly with the plate 2, a stopper mechanism is released and a cam shaft 11 is turned. A roller 8h is pushed up by shape cam plates 12 attached to the shaft 11 to vertically move a shutter 6 for rib sign, and a notch 3a for flowing coating material out, provided for the shutter 3 for line sign, is opened or closed to apply coating material onto the rib 48 for regenerated sign. Also, when a new flat line and a rib are signed concurrently, after the stopper is released by an adequate means, the shutter 6 is vertically moved by a single shape cam 13 for signing. in the case of flat line sign, the shutters 3 and 6 are integrally raised to flow coating material out from the slit (a). The coating operation can thus be simply and effectively attained by various operation methods. |
