PURPOSE:To provide a camera capable of displaying the photographing aspect ratio without providing a dedicated display segment by displaying the photographing aspect ratio concurrently with the existing display of the Tv value and the number of frames. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 1 detects whether an aspect ratio selecting SW 12 is pushed or not. If it is pushed, the photographing aspect ratio is selected. If it is not pushed, a rotary dial 14 is detected, and the Tv value is set. The set Tv value is displayed on the display section of a display circuit 21. The display section is constituted of multiple segments, display segments (a)-(d) are normally used to display the Tv value, display segments (e)-(g) are used to display the Av value, and display segments (h), (i) are used to display the number of frames. The photographing aspect ratio is displayed concurrently with the existing display of the Tv value and the number of frames, and the photographing aspect ratio can be selected while no dedicated display segment is provided.
