Summary:PURPOSE:To provide switching power source devices that prevent undesired re-starting after an AC input is turned off and that prevent the starting time from being extended when AC input is turned on. CONSTITUTION:A Zener diode 36 is connected in series to a starting resistor 32 and in the opposite direction to an applied voltage. When an AC input is turned off to stop the operation of an oscillation control circuit 12, a current (I) flowing through the Zener diode 36 and starting resistor 32 becomes smaller than the minimum necessary current to start the oscillation control circuit 12.
