Abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having satisfactory electrical characteristics and running property by successively laminating a lower layer, a middle layer and an upper layer on a substrate and making the coercive force of the lower layer smaller than that of the upper layer. CONSTITUTION:When a lower layer having at least one magnetic layer contg. ferromagnetic powder, a middle layer made of a layer contg. nonmagnetic powder and/or a high permeability material and an upper layer contg. at least one magnetic layer are successively laminated on a nonmagnetic substrate to obtain a magnetic recording medium, the nonmagnetic substrate is formed with polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene-2, polyolefin such as polypropylene, a cellulose deriv. such as cellulose triacetate, plastic such as polyamide, etc., and ferromagnetic iron oxide powder, etc., is used as the magnetic powder. The objective magnetic recording medium excellent in surface properties, excellent in electrical characteristics and running property can be obtd. |
