Summary:PURPOSE:To promote durability of artificial lawns by planting plate-like or rope-shaped reinforcing members of the same material as that of each of the artificial lawn members between lawn member rows of a binding layer formed of an earth solidified body in which the artificial lawn members are planted. CONSTITUTION:Lawn members including a bundle of fibrous members are planted in a binding layer of an earth solidified body formed of polymer latex, inorganic particles and/or organic particles. Plate-like or rope-shaped reinforcing liners of the same material as that of each of the lawn members are planted between lawn member rows in parallel with the lawn member rows. If necessary, the upper part of the binding layer is filled with sand to form a sand layer. Tensile strength, tear strength and wear resistance is promoted. According to the constitution, the life of the artificial lawn can be prolonged.
