Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a service function by individuals even in any communication terminal equipment without changing the hardware configuration of the communication terminal equipment based on a portable storage device such as a magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of a magnetic card 1-3 storing personal information of the user, an exchange storing a personal table corresponding to the personal information and a communication terminal equipment 1. The communication terminal equipment 1 includes a software key used for multi-purpose, a key lamp panel B1-6 comprising a display device provided in the vicinity of the software key and a magnetic card reader 1-4 reading the personal information from the magnetic card 1-3. Then the personal information read by the magnetic card reader 1-4 is sent to the exchange, the service function of the software key is set based on the information of a personal table corresponding to the personal information received from the exchange and a function name of the software key is displayed onto the display device.
